Privacy policy

This policy explains what Toss & Turf collects when you visit, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to tossandturf.com.

What we collect

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read and which links they use. This collects information such as the pages you visit, roughly where in the world you are, the type of device and browser you use, and how you arrived at the site. It is aggregated and we do not use it to identify individuals.

We also record an event when a buy link is clicked, so we can see which recommendations readers find useful. That event contains the merchant, the destination link and the page it was clicked from. It does not contain anything about you.

You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely with Google's browser add-on, or by using any browser setting or extension that blocks analytics scripts. Nothing on this site breaks if you do.

The contact form

If you write to us, we receive your name, email address, chosen subject and message. We use them to reply and for nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell, rent or share your details.

The form includes basic anti-spam measures — a hidden field that real visitors never fill in, a check on how long the form was open, and a limit on submissions from one address per hour. Those checks use your IP address transiently and do not store it beyond that.

Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs, which include IP addresses, for security and operational purposes. We do not analyze them.

What we do not collect

• No accounts, so no passwords.
• No newsletter, so no email list.
• No payment details — we never process a transaction.
• No advertising network, so no ad-targeting profiles built here.

Affiliate cookies

When you click a buy link, you are redirected to a retailer and that retailer sets a cookie in your browser. It is how they attribute a later purchase to us, and it is how this site is funded. Amazon's attribution window is 24 hours for most purchases.

We do not set, read or receive those cookies ourselves, and we never see who bought what — an affiliate report tells us that a purchase happened, not who made it. You can clear or block them in your browser like any other cookie; doing so does not affect your purchase.

Third parties

• Google Analytics — analytics, as described above.
• Our hosting provider — serves the site and keeps request logs.
• Retailers you click through to — subject to their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
• Microsoft — contact form messages are delivered by email through Microsoft Graph.

Product images, where shown, are served from the retailer's own image servers rather than copied to ours.

Your choices

• Block or clear cookies in your browser at any time.
• Opt out of Google Analytics using the add-on linked above.
• Ask us to delete a message you sent through the contact form — email info@tossandturf.com and we will remove it.

Children

This site is written for adults buying games. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described rather than made silently.
