Kan Jam is the only game on this site where your partner is required. You throw, they deflect, and most points on the board came from two people rather than one. That single design decision is why it plays so well at a party: a weak thrower is still deciding points, because a good deflection turns a bad throw into a score.
It is also the game with the most extreme aspect ratio here. Fifty feet between goals, and essentially no required width beyond room to stand beside each goal. If your usable space is a long strip — a side yard, a driveway, a beach — this is the game that fits.

The exactly in “exactly 21” is doing a lot of work. Sitting on 19 with a partner who keeps deflecting for three is a genuinely uncomfortable position, and it is what stops the game becoming a procession once one team gets ahead.

The honest case against it
You need exactly four people. Not two, not three, not six waiting. In a household of three, this is the wrong purchase. For odd numbers and crowds, kubb takes 2 to 12 and a stacking tower takes any number.
Fifty feet is a lot of length. It is the second-longest court on this site after horseshoes and full-size croquet. A 40-foot yard cannot host this game honestly.
Wind ruins it. A flying disc across 50 feet in a crosswind is a different sport. On a breezy day, a ground game like bocce holds up far better.
The published spec sheet is thin. The maker publishes the rules thoroughly and the equipment barely at all — no goal dimensions, no set weight. We have left those fields blank rather than measuring a photograph.
