| # | Product | Best for | Score | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | JOOLA Outdoor Ping Pong Table Cover, Dual Function The only cover here that publishes both storage positions explicitly — it states it fits a 9 by 5 table upright or down — which is the one specification that decides whether a cover fits the way you actually store your table. | Best overall | 8.6/10 | $39.99 · View on Amazon Price as of October 29, 2026. #ad How we make money |
| 2 | 600D Oxford Ping Pong Table Cover, 9 x 5 ft Publishes more than anything else here: a 600D Oxford fabric weight, a 9 by 5 ft fit, waterproof and sunproof claims, and a paddle storage bag — for less than the brand-name cover. | Best value | 8.5/10 | $32.99 · View on Amazon Price as of October 29, 2026. #ad How we make money |
| 3 | Upright Table Tennis Cover, 65 x 28 x 73 in The only cover on this page that publishes actual dimensions rather than a table size — 65 by 28 by 73 inches — which is the tall narrow shape a folded table makes, and the one measurement you can check against your own table with a tape. | Best for a folded table | 8.2/10 | $26.98 · View on Amazon Price as of October 29, 2026. #ad How we make money |
| 4 | Hicover 600D Oxford Table Tennis Cover, 9 x 5 ft The same 600D Oxford fabric and 9 by 5 ft fit as our value pick, with a paddle organizer bag, at the lowest price of any cover here that publishes a denier at all. | Cheapest with a published fabric | 8.3/10 | |
| 5 | BEILLER Ping Pong Table Cover, PVC Coated, 9 x 5 ft Takes the other route to waterproofing: a named PVC coating rather than a heavy fabric denier. The coating is the layer that actually stops water, which makes this the more direct claim of the two. | Best coating | 8.1/10 | $34.99 · View on Amazon Price as of October 29, 2026. #ad How we make money |
Verdict: buy the JOOLA cover. It is the only one that publishes both storage positions — it states it fits a 9 by 5 table upright or down — and position, not table model, is what actually decides fit. Buy the 600D Oxford cover to spend less and get a published fabric weight plus a paddle bag, and the upright cover if your table folds and lives standing up, because it is the only one here publishing real dimensions you can put a tape measure against.
We deferred this page once, and the reason we gave was wrong. It is worth saying so before the picks, because the correction is the most useful thing on the page.
A correction
We said covers were model-specific. They are not.
When our outdoor table tennis page shipped, it declined to rank covers and told you to buy one sized for your specific table. The thinking was that a cover is cut for a particular model, so recommending one without knowing which table you own would be guesswork.
That is not how this category works, and the reason is the same governing-body figure that page is built on. USA Table Tennis publishes the approved table at 9 feet by 5 feet. A full-size table is a standardized object — that is the entire point of a governed size — and six of the seven covers we resolved publish exactly 9 x 5 ft as their fit. “Universal” is a real claim here rather than a marketing one, because the thing being covered is a standard.
What genuinely varies is something simpler and easier for you to check: which shape your table is in when the cover goes on.
Published specs only
What each cover actually publishes
Two different waterproofing stories run through this category and almost nobody gives you both halves. A dash means the seller does not publish it.
| Cover | Fit published | Fabric | Coating | Positions | Extras |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| USATT approved table | 9 x 5 ft | — | — | — | — |
| JOOLA | 9 x 5 ft | — | PVC coating | Upright or down | — |
| 600D Oxford | 9 x 5 ft | 600D Oxford | — | Folding and flat | Paddle storage bag |
| Upright cover | 65 x 28 x 73 in | — | — | Upright (folded) only | Drawstring |
| Hicover | 9 x 5 ft | 600D Oxford | — | Folding and flat | Paddle organizer bag |
| BEILLER | 9 x 5 ft | — | PVC coating | Foldable | — |
Read the fabric and coating columns together, because they never both appear. The denier — 600D Oxford — tells you how heavy the cloth is. The coating — PVC — is the layer that actually stops water. Three covers publish the first, two publish the second, and none publishes both. You are choosing which half of the specification you would rather be able to read, not which cover is better specified overall.
Then read the fit column. Five rows say “9 x 5 ft”, which is a table size, not a cover measurement. Exactly one publishes the cover's own dimensions. That is the only row on this page you can verify with a tape measure before buying.
The criteria, first
How we ranked these
We have not had these covers through a winter and will not claim to have. The ranking is a ranking of published claims against the two ways a cover actually fails — it does not fit the shape, or it does not keep water out.
- Does it publish the storage position it fits? This is the entry criterion, because it is the one real variable. One cover publishes both positions, one publishes upright only, and the rest publish a table size and leave position implied.
- Can you check the fit with a tape measure? A published cover dimension beats a published table size, because the first is a fact about the product and the second is a claim about compatibility.
- Which half of the waterproofing does it name? A coating or a denier. Either is better than a bare “waterproof”, and nothing here gives both.
- Does it solve the paddle problem? Minor, but real — a paddle pocket on the cover is the tidiest answer to where bats live, and it costs nothing on the covers that have it.
Nothing is scored on durability from experience. Where a listing makes a construction claim we have recorded it as a claim and named who makes it.
The honest gap
What none of them publishes
Three things decide whether a cover survives two winters, and not one listing here carries any of them: cover weight, seam construction (taped, welded or merely stitched — stitching is a row of holes), and any kind of UV rating. Sun is what actually kills an outdoor cover; two listings say “sunproof” and none quantifies it.
We are not going to supply those figures from elsewhere. There is also no securing method published on four of the five — only the upright cover states a drawstring — so how any of these behaves in wind is unstated. On a 9 by 5 foot sheet in an exposed garden, that is not a small omission.
Straight answers
Which cover for your table
- Your table folds and you sometimes leave it flat. The JOOLA. It is the only cover publishing both positions, it names a PVC coating, and it comes from the maker of one of the tables we rank. It is also the most expensive here.
- Your table is stationary, or always stays flat. The 600D Oxford cover. You get a published fabric weight, waterproof and sunproof claims and a paddle bag for less than the JOOLA, and you are not paying for upright fit you will never use. The Hicover is the same specification from a named brand if it is cheaper the day you look.
- Your table folds up and lives against a wall. The upright cover, and measure first. 65 by 28 by 73 inches is the only published cover dimension in this category, so it is the only fit you can confirm rather than trust.
- You want the waterproof layer named rather than the cloth. The BEILLER, which publishes a PVC coating and comes in black — the color that shows sun fading least.
Whichever you choose, the principle is the one our weatherproof yard games guide applies to everything on this site: the claim on the packaging matters less than which component the maker was willing to put a number or a material name against. “All-weather” is marketing. “600D Oxford” and “65 x 28 x 73 in” are commitments.

Skip this if
Skip this if your table never folds. You are paying the most on this page for dual-position fit, and a stationary table only ever needs the flat shape.
What works
- Publishes both storage positions — the only cover here that does
- PVC coating named rather than a vague waterproof claim
- From JOOLA, whose outdoor tables this site also ranks
- States the 9 x 5 ft fit, which matches the USATT approved table size
What does not
- Most expensive cover on this page
- No published fabric denier, unlike the 600D Oxford covers
- No upright dimensions published, only that it fits upright
- No paddle storage pocket published

Publishes more than anything else here: a 600D Oxford fabric weight, a 9 by 5 ft fit, waterproof and sunproof claims, and a paddle storage bag — for less than the brand-name cover.
Skip this if
Skip this if the table lives folded upright. It publishes a flat 9 by 5 fit and universal folding-and-flat compatibility, but no upright dimensions to check a tall narrow shape against.
What works
- Publishes a fabric denier, which half this category does not
- Paddle storage bag included — the one accessory a cover can usefully add
- Both waterproof and sunproof stated, and sun is what kills a cover
- Cheaper than the brand-name alternative
What does not
- No brand on the listing, so there is no maker to ask
- No upright dimensions published
- No coating named — 600D is the fabric, not the waterproof layer
- No tie-downs or securing method published

The only cover on this page that publishes actual dimensions rather than a table size — 65 by 28 by 73 inches — which is the tall narrow shape a folded table makes, and the one measurement you can check against your own table with a tape.
Skip this if
Skip this if your table stays flat or does not fold at all. These dimensions describe an upright object, so on a table in the playing position it will not reach the ends.
What works
- Publishes three real dimensions you can measure your own table against
- Drawstring is a named securing method, which most covers omit
- Cheapest cover here
- Correct shape for the way most folding tables are actually stored
What does not
- Wrong shape for a flat or stationary table
- No fabric denier or coating published
- No brand on the listing
- No paddle storage

The same 600D Oxford fabric and 9 by 5 ft fit as our value pick, with a paddle organizer bag, at the lowest price of any cover here that publishes a denier at all.
Skip this if
Skip this if you want anything the value pick does not already have. The two publish an almost identical specification, so this is a price decision rather than a feature one.
What works
- Publishes a 600D Oxford denier at the lowest price in that group
- Paddle organizer bag included
- Waterproof and sunproof both stated
- Named brand, unlike the other 600D cover here
What does not
- Specification is almost identical to the value pick, so it adds nothing new
- No coating named

Takes the other route to waterproofing: a named PVC coating rather than a heavy fabric denier. The coating is the layer that actually stops water, which makes this the more direct claim of the two.
Skip this if
Skip this if you want to compare fabric weight. It publishes a coating and no denier, so it cannot be ranked against the 600D Oxford covers on the one number they share.
What works
- Names PVC coating, which is the layer that actually blocks water
- States the 9 x 5 ft fit that matches the approved table size
- All-weather protection claimed alongside waterproof
- Black, which shows sun fading less than the pale covers
What does not
- No fabric denier published, so it cannot be compared with the 600D covers
- No upright dimensions
- No paddle storage pocket
- No securing method published
